I'd like to start of by welcoming myself to the blogger revolution. first entry ever, and there's no doubt in my mind that people like jay mariotti will be sucking my dick when this is all said n done. haha, j/k jay, but seriously, fuck you. Sitting on my bed here as I sip on some '04 cabernet while watching game 4 has inspired me to pick up my keyboard and document my thoughts. I sometimes wonder, as venerable as he is, if Phil is perhaps too poised during the games; he hardly ever rides the referees, and there are times when he doesn't even bat an eye when it could easily be argued that there was a foul that wasn't/shouldn't have been called. are them times when Kobe wishes Phil would campaign a little harder for some fouls, or is he content knowing that it's up to him, as it is his [Kobe's] team? Either way you look at it, it's as much of a tribute to Phil's brilliant, level head as it is to the guys he plays and the trust he has in them; the Lakers have arguably the deepest squad in the League, and Phil uses his players with maximal efficiency (with 7:52 left in the 2nd, he's already played all 12 guys)...except Luke Walton, that boy gets his vitamins and can pass the shit outta' the ball, not to mention he'll lock you up on the other end. In short, the Lake Show has the best team 1 to 12, and they have no excuse not to win this title; it would have to be deemed a flop if they came up with anything short. even adam 'shit-for-brains' brandes offered me a pre-season bet to take the field against his purple bandits, which I had to refuse. All that being said, go Magic. I dislike Kobe quite a bit, pompous bitch he is, but he is fun to watch, and his game is sick. Before concluding, I have to note the supremacy I've seen in some of the shots he's taken. he's almost better when he dribbles into his defender and gets him off balance before elevating over the guy because he's able to square himself up perfectly as he raises up. How does he do it? I want in.
